the first days in 2011

i wanted to post this a few days ago, but the internet is really bad here. since the 6th of january i am in hampi, an amazing place east of where i was on the beach.
but first a few pictures from my first days in 2011!!

we spent a lot of time around the huts where we lived. after some time you know more and more people...i played often frisbee, cards...read a lot (right now"shantaram", a good book, and very popular here!) and met many people from many different countries! most of them were really nice, but there were some strange people as well!! and it was really interesting to see e.g. christmas together with many people from different religions and countries...and without snow! it is possible!!
it was really nice to stay in kudle beach, enjoy having a "home" and not to pack every few days.
one day we made a tour through the forests on the back of our guesthouse and went to a fishing village. it was really nice to see this part of india again, ricefields, monkeys, no tourists...and it made me willing to leave  the beach after some really nice weeks there!

south of kudle beach are a few more beaches, om beach, half moon beach ad in the end paradise beach - it really deserves this name!

its really dirty in many places and people often encourage you to throw your waste just somewhere...e.g. the empty plastic bottle out of the train window!
but mostly its like this (or dirty but still beautiful!)
since the computer is really fast i will upload the pictures of hampi (old temples and amazing bolders) in the next days - if the internet will work! i will go and have dinner...mahlzeit!
